Cash-in: the customer pays exactly amount. The fee is deducted from what you receive: your balance is credited net = amount − fee. On a charge the fee field is "0" until it succeeds, then shows the fee taken.
Cash-out: the recipient receives amount in full. The fee is charged on top, so your balance is debited total_debited = amount + fee.
Deposits into your own balance are free.
Example: a USh 50,000 charge in Uganda
fee = min(5,000, max(500, 50,000 × 2.5%)) = 1,250
net = 50,000 − 1,250 = 48,750 → your pending balance
Every account starts at Tier 0. Upload verification documents in the dashboard to move up a tier and raise your limits. Limits apply per currency and separately to each type: charges, payouts, deposits and withdrawals each have their own daily and monthly allowance. The daily and monthly figures are rolling windows (the last 24 hours and last 30 days) and count successful and in-flight transactions; failed ones free their allowance.
A newly approved payout wallet can receive withdrawals 24 hours after approval.
Second approver
A withdrawal above USh 5,000,000 / KSh 170,000.00 / GH₵ 20,000.00 waits for a second team member to approve it (SkanPay can set a different threshold for your account).
